Chicago: 3 Charged In Burglary Of Ida Crown Jewish Academy

Two men and a teen were charged with burglary after police said they broke into a school early this morning in the West Rogers Park neighborhood, police said.

The robbery happened shortly after midnight on the 2800 block of West Pratt Avenue, police said. The Ida Crown Jewish Academy is located on that block at 2828 W. Pratt Ave.

The three were caught as they attempted to flee from the scene, police said.

John A. Allen, 24, of the 1600 block of South Hamlin Avenue and Dominick Wing, 19, of the 400 block of North Ridgeway Avenue were both charged with one felony count of burglary, according to police.

The youth, who is 16, was charged as a juvenile and is not being identified, police said.

The men are scheduled to appear in bond court this afternoon.
